Finland-based manufacturer Wartsila Corporation has received an order from China-based Hubei Electric Power Survey and Design Institute to deliver a 100 MW power plant in the Gazipur Industrial Zone, Bangladesh. As per the order, it will provide six Wartsila 50 engines that run on heavy fuel oil on a fast-track basis by July 2018. The plant will provide reliable power supply in the industrial area and is expected to be fully operational by the end of 2018.
